Wyndham woman dies from COVID

Two more Victorians have died from COVID-19, including a woman in her sixties from Wyndham.

The other person to die was a woman from Hume, aged in her seventies.

The deaths were announced at this morning’s state government press conference.

Yesterday, 11 deaths were announced including a Hobsons Bay woman aged in her seventies.

A total 1638 new COVID cases have been announced in Victoria today.

There are 564 people in hospital with the virus, including 115 people in intensive care and 74 patients on ventilators.

Out of all the people in hospital, 66 per cent are unvaccinated, 27 per cent are partially vaccinated and seven per cent are fully vaccinated.

More than 83 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have now received a single vaccine dose, with 54.5 per cent fully vaccinated.
