It’s a milestone week at Wyndham’s Aquapulse and Eagle Stadium as the centres celebrate two million customers through the doors in a little more than a year.

Western Leisure Services chief executive Bruce Mackay said visitor numbers showed the strength of programs that build healthier lives.

“In this age of obesity and widespread health issues relating to sedentary lifestyles, we are proud to join with council in helping to fight obesity,” he said.

Council’s sport and open spaces portfolio holder, Peter Maynard, said it is great that residents embrace the facilities the council is providing.

“What we have in Wyndham is state-of-the-art. Why would anybody need to go anywhere else?” he said.

“The fact that two million people have visited Aqua Pulse and Eagle Stadium in a little over 12 months is testament to just how excellent these two facilities are.”

In celebration of the milestone, Western Leisure Service is offering a free 12-month all-access membership to one lucky visitor this month.

The second stage of Werribee’s Eagle Stadium opened to the public in June.

It includes 12 indoor multi-purpose courts, a 1500-seat show court with retractable seating, a state-of-the-art gym and four new netball courts.

Aquapulse, which opened at Hoppers Crossing in June last year, also features a gym, a 25-metre learn-to swim pool, a 50-metre pool, spa and warm water exercise pools, steam and sauna room, two waterslides, an aquatic playground and a crèche.

Western Leisure Services also operate the Werribee Outdoor Pool.
