Trio charged after Werribee robbery

Three teenagers have been charged following a robbery at a bottle shop in Werribee last night.

Police said a bottle shop on Rosella Avenue was robbed just after 5pm yesterday.

The youths were seen travelling in an allegedly stolen red Mazda CX5 on Crawley Rise just after 9.30pm.

Police allege they ran from the vehicle after they dumped it near the Werribee River on Riverview Drive.

A 15-year-old Wyndham Vale boy has been charged with armed robbery, theft, theft of motor vehicle, commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 16-year-old Werribee girl has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

They have both been remanded and will appear at a children’s court today.

A 16-year-old Hoppers Crossing girl has been charged with armed robbery, theft and theft of motor vehicle.

She was bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Some charges relate to an alleged aggravated burglary that occurred in Truganina on April 26.

A fourth person remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
