Teens allegedly threatened with firearm, driven at, assaulted

Police have charged two men following an armed robbery and attempted armed robbery in Point Cook last week.

A group of teens were allegedly approached by a man on a motorcycle in the town centre precinct on Dunnings Road around 8.30pm on Thursday, September 2.

The man allegedly produced a firearm and made demands for cash before assaulting a teenage boy and stealing a bottle of alcohol.

At the same time, a man driving a purple Holden Commodore allegedly drove at the group before they ran from the scene.

Investigators later executed a warrant at a Point Cook address and seized two motorcycles and two firearms.

A 20-year-old Point Cook man has been charged with armed robbery, possess firearm, assault with weapon, unlawful assault and unlicensed driving.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on November 29.

An 18-year-old Point Cook man has been charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury and driving an unregistered vehicle.

He has been bailed to appear at Werribee Magistrates Court on May 30 next year.
