Teen robbed, assaulted in train station toilets

A teenager was assaulted and robbed at knife-point in the toilets of Wyndham Vale train station on Friday.

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the armed robbery, which occurred around 4pm on July 3.

Police have been told that an 18-year-old male was followed into the station’s toilets by four other males.

“The teenager was assaulted with a knife and robbed of his phone and Air Pods,” a statement from Victoria Police said.

The offenders, who were all perceived to be African in appearance, fled the scene.

The victim reported the incident to police, who are investigating.
