Scenes of beauty

As the colder weather hits, exploring the great outdoors becomes something which many people become a little more reluctant to do.

However, Melbourne was blessed with some lovely days of sunshine last week, during which Star Weekly photographer Damjan Janevski captured these images showcasing the beauty of Campbell’s Cove in Werribee South.

Some of the beach shacks at Campbell’s Cove date back to the 1940s and 1950s.

According to the Wyndham Heritage Study 1997, a report prepared by Werribee Council in July 1963 showed that many of the shacks were – at that time – owned by people from as far away as Brunswick, Coburg, Thornbury, Essendon, Pascoe Vale, Yarraville and Sunshine.
