Robber targets two victims in Werribee

Police are investigating two attempted armed robberies in Werribee last month.

The incidents occurred on Saturday, June 30, about 6.45pm near the intersection of Watton Street and Cherry Street.

A man, who was armed with a knife, approached two separate victims within a five minute period and threatened them.

He allegedly made demands for money and other property, but nothing was stolen.

The man was chased from the area by a witness and was last seen in the vicinity of Railway Avenue and Glen Street, Werribee.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
