Werribee’s Station Place will be transformed into a vibrant destination this summer.

The space will be taken over by a pop-up park with live music, an outdoor cinema and food trucks.

On Friday nights, top-shelf Australian music acts will take to the stage in free concerts.

Movie lovers should head to the pop-up park on Saturday nights when it will become an outdoor cinema with free double bills ranging from kids flicks to cult classics.

Food trucks will descend on Station Place on Sunday afternoons, offering foods from across the globe, while there will be workshops and recreational events throughout the week.

Wyndham council tourism and major events portfolio holder John Gibbons said the pop-up park would offer a relaxed and welcoming space for residents to enjoy in the warmer months.

“What we’ll see in this space is 100 square metres of grass, plants, deck chairs and umbrellas for people to sit back and enjoy,” he said.

“This is a Wyndham City project to bring our community together and make the most of the spaces we have available. So bring your mates, your kids or anybody else and spend the day at this great new park.”

The pop-up park will run from January 19 to February 25.

A full program of music acts and films will be announced later this year.
