Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man after an aggravated carjacking in Wyndham Vale on June 30 last year, in which the victim was threatened with a handgun.

A delivery van stopped on Ferry Close at 9am to make a drop-off. As the victim approached the rear of the van, he was approached by a man holding a black handgun.

The man demanded the van’s keys and the victim placed them on the ground before fleeing. The man stole the van and abandoned it later that day on Showbridge Way in Werribee.

The victim said he saw a red Audi following him earlier in the day. The car was seen driving off with the van after the incident.

Police have released images of a man whom they believe may be able to assist in their inquiries.

He is approximately 175cm tall with a solid build. At the time of the offence he was wearing a dark-coloured jacket and black pants.
