Job Fair comes to Wyndham

Wyndham jobseekers are invited to attend a jobs fair at the Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre on August 25-26.

The event is held from 4:30pm – 7pm in partnership with Jobs Victoria and Wyndham City Council and aims to provide job seekers in the community the opportunity to meet and connect with retailers who are currently hiring at the centre.

Options are available for those seeking casual, part time, or full time work, at a variety of retailers such as Pizza Hut, Priceline, Snap Fitness and a selection of small businesses.

Wyndham Mayor Peter Maynard said the fair is a “great initiative” to connect local jobseekers and local employers.

“I encourage local residents looking for work to come along and find out more information

and see what positions are available that might be of interest,” he said.

To see which stores a hiring and to book an interview, job seekers can arrange a five-minute appointment online.

To help support job seekers, representatives from Jobs Victoria and Wyndham Council will be stationed outside ALDI, several days prior to the event, as well as on the days of the fair.

They will provide a number of free services including interview tips and resume checking to help people feel confident.

Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre manager Daniela Mirabilio said she was thrilled to be supporting retailers and residents looking for work.

“Being able to connect retailers with active job seekers in the area helps take some of the pressure off business owners, and allows them to spend more time focusing on running their business,” she said.

“We want to make sure we’re not only giving job seekers the opportunity to meet with retailers who are hiring but also ensuring they put their best foot forward when it comes to interview time.”
