Hundreds of people are expected to attend the Food & Colour Festival (Holi) in Williams Landing at the weekend.

Holi is a traditional Hindu festival, also known as the festival of colours or the festival of love.

The upcoming festival, hosted by Multicultural Events Melbourne, is open to the whole community and will be a day of music, dance, colour throwing, food, children’s activities, carnival rides and face-painting.

Food trucks will be serving different cuisines, a local craft brewery will serve cold beverages and Bollywood and Brazilian dancers will entertain the crowds.

A fireworks display at 8pm will wrap up the event.

The Food & Color Festival (Holi) will be held at Ace Parking Williams Landing, opposite Williams Landing train station, on Saturday from 12.30-8pm. Entry is free.
