Four teens charged after police vehicle allegedly rammed

A 15-year-old from Tarneit is among four youths charged following an alleged police vehicle ramming in Braybrook yesterday.

The four males were arrested after the stolen vehicle they were driving allegedly rammed a police vehicle in Treloar Crescent about 5.20pm.

Police approached the vehicle, however the driver drove at the police vehicle a second time, causing significant damage to the vehicle.

All four youths were arrested by police at the scene and have since been charged with the following.

The 15-year-old Tarneit resident has been charged with theft of motor vehicle; theft of petrol; attempted car-jacking; robbery, theft; and assault.

An 18-year-old Derrimut man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle; robbery; assault; and two charges of handle stolen goods.

A 17-year-old Sunshine West teenager has been charged with robbery; two charges of theft of motor vehicle; assault, attempted car jacking; intentionally cause injury and affray; and two charges of intentionally handle stolen goods.

A 16-year-old Kings Park teenager has been charged with robbery, theft of motor vehicle and assault.

The 18-year-old man has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

The remaining three teens have been remanded and will appear at a Children’s’ Court.
