Four teens arrested after police deploy stop sticks

Police have arrested four teenagers, aged between 13 and 15 years old, in a vehicle allegedly stolen from Werribee today.

Geelong Highway Patrol officers first observed the black BMW X5 on Bacchus Marsh Road, Corio, where the car allegedly evaded police.

Police witnessed the car, which had a blown front tyre, driving towards Werribee about 2.30am.

Police monitored the vehicle and deployed stop sticks near Geelong Road and Princes Highway.

The vehicle continued driving a short distance to Wedge Street, Werribee, where the four occupants were arrested without incident.

Three boys, aged 13, 14, and 15, and a 13-year-old girl are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The BMW was stolen from an address in Aintree last night about 9pm.
