Tarneit Senior College is fundraising in style.

Students from the school’s intermediate VCAL classes have started the VCAL Thrift Shop, in an effort to help reduce textile wastage and raise money for charity.

They are encouraging other students and their families to recycle unwanted clothing by donating it to the shop.

The fashion items will be available to fellow students to swap for other clothing, for a gold coin donation.

Tarneit Senior College VCAL co-ordinator Huy Le said the VCAL students would donate the funds raised through the thrift shop to a yet-to-be-decided charity, most likely one which helps young children.
