Drugs, guns and goods seized in Werribee raids

Wyndham police have recovered drugs and stolen goods valued at more than $50,000 following raids at three Werribee addresses last month.

Police seized a firearm, drugs and a “significant” amount of stolen goods while executing a search warrant at a Werribee property on November 12.

Senior Constable Ben Fox said a search warrant was executed at a second property that night, with more drugs and stolen property recovered.

On November 25, a warrant was executed at a third address and police seized more than 1000 items, including stolen goods, a hand gun and quantities of cannabis and ice.

A Werribee man in his late 20s was arrested at the third scene and has been charged with multiple counts of possessing stolen goods, possession of drugs and possessing proceeds of crime.

He has been remanded in custody.

Senior Constable Fox said the total value of the goods recovered was estimated at $50,000.

In a separate case, Wyndham police seized a stolen ute and motorbike from a Werribee address on November 18.

Police subsequently arrested and questioned three males and two females about a range of offences, including theft of motor vehicles, petrol drive-offs and drugs and weapons offences.
