Kitchen appliance brand Thermomix has donated one of their latest TM6 models to the Wyndham Community and Education Centre (WCEC) to help students learn valuable cooking skills.

The donation to the Werribee centre forms part of a national initiative to help students across Australia learn about food preparation.

Thermomix business development manager Lucinda Ubilla and Werribee area team leader Kylie Brooks attended the WCEC to assist with the student’s first cooking experience on Monday, November 15.

WCEC youth manager Teresa Vizintin also joined in the cooking session.

“The students here at Wyndham CEC are extremely happy and grateful for the donation,” Ms Vizintin said.

“We are still pinching ourselves at this opportunity, and cannot wait to start making pizzas, smoothies, curries and the like.”

The Wyndham Community and Education Centre offers community programs and education opportunities to residents.

As one of Victoria’s largest adult & community education providers, WCEC provides several services including the weekly NOSH (nutrition, outreach, support & health) Van and the daily Let’s Feed Breakfast program as part of its VCAL and education programs for teenagers and young adults aged 15 to 24 years old.

Into the future, Thermomix and MsBrooks will continue to provide the students and staff at WCEC with ongoing cooking classes and support.
