Point Cook is on its ways to getting its very own Central Park with work starting on a $2.3 million park spanning two hectares at The Address estate, which is located along Point Cook Road.

Central Park will include walking paths, tree-lined boulevards, a playground, facilities for community concerts and events and a sculpture that will provide views out to Port Phillip Bay.

David Allington from Stockland, which is developing The Address estate, said 40 homes would front the park.

“This Central Park will be a real focus of the community and will encourage healthy, outdoor living, with walking paths and extensive lawn areas for kicking a ball around,” he said.

“It will be a place where people can go for a morning walk, pack a picnic and catch up with friends or even just take in the views from the incredible central sculpture.”

Works on the park come only weeks after Wyndham council approved plans for Club Jubilee One, an indoor water park that will be exclusive to residents at Wyndham Vale’s Jubilee estate and will include water slides, a leisure pool, 25-metre lap pool and junior fun zone with water sprays and water cannons.
