Six artists will have their work displayed at the Wyndham Art Gallery in an exhibition titled Legacy.

Although stage four pandemic restrictions mean residents cannot attend the gallery, the exhibition has been put together and is available to view online via the council’s Wyndham Together website.

Artists involved in the show include Pat Brassington, Liam Benson, Nina Sanadze, Cigdem Aydemir, Michelle Ripari and Emmet Davies.

Legacy explores how artists are at the forefront of inciting change but are also connected to the past through their practices.

On Sunday, September 13, from 2– 3.30pm, the council will host a free virtual workshop for residents aged 14 years and older, facilitated by Liam Benson, who will explore the theme of legacy.

On Thursday, September 24, from 5pm, Emmet Davies and Michelle Ripari will participate in a digital discussion with Wyndham Art Gallery co-curator Caroline Esbenshade, to talk about their own creative practices, what legacy means to each of them and how this informed the self-portraits they created for the exhibition.

Legacy will be available to view online until 8pm on October 11.
