Wyndham residents have taken to their newest leisure facilities like a duck to water, with nearly one-million visitors walking through the doors this financial year alone.

AquaPulse, Eagle Stadium and the Werribee Outdoor Pool are on track for a record year of attendances with more than 970,000 people visiting at least one of the venues since July last year.

That brings the total number of visitors to the three venues to more than 2.3 million since AquaPulse and Eagle Stadium opened to the public following multi-million-dollar revamps in June 2015 and June 2016.

The three venues are run by subsidiary company Western Leisure Services. Chief executive Bruce Mackay said he was thrilled with the numbers.

The facilities made an attractive option for people wanting to be more active or just spend more time with family and friends at recreation, he said.
