Future Tech Windows and Doors is a long-running family business consisting of people who are passionate about their jobs.

Director Doina Tinte said the genesis of the business idea came in Germany in 1982, when she and husband Dan Mosut discovered the windows “everyone has in Europe”.

These days, their Laverton North business manufactures European uPVC (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride) double-glazed windows and doors that increase energy efficiency of residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

“We are extremely passionate about our products and treat every window and door as being made for our own house,” Ms Tinte said. “I can honestly say that I enjoy every part of my job, so even when working seven days per week it does not feel like I am working.”

Future Tech Windows and Doors has entered this year’s Wyndham Business Awards in the manufacturing category.

Star Weekly is a media partner of the Wyndham Business Awards.

Entries and nominations are open until May 31. Categories include home-based; logistics; manufacturing; new and emerging; personal services; professional services; trade and construction; people’s choice; arts, experiences and hospitality; business person of the year; young business person of the year; mayoral award; and business of the year.
