Deakin University staff rolled up their sleeves and swapped their offices for the playground at Wyndham Park Primary School last Thursday as part of a community day.
Staff from the university’s facilities services division visited the school and adjacent community centre, where the team created a sensory garden for the pupils to enjoy.
They also built a fence around the school vegetable garden, collected unwanted stationery for The Smith Family and erected a community noticeboard that will be used by Men’s Shed members, local sports clubs and community groups.
