Carranballac P-9 College is hosting 16 schools at its Festival of Performing Arts, having invited all the schools in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay to perform over three days from yesterday (Tuesday).

Assistant principal and performing arts leader Gaye Edmonds says the guest schools, including the Grange P-12 and Point Cook P-9 colleges, are performing in this year’s 28th festival at the college’s Jamieson Way campus in Point Cook to showcase students’ artistic and musical skills.

“It’s the only festival of its kind that combines different schools, and it’s the highlight of the performance calendar for most students,” Ms Edmonds said.

Carranballac P-9’s gymnasium has been transformed into an impressive performance space with professional audio equipment, lighting and video projectors.

Friends and family of performing students are welcome to attend.

Separate performances are held each day, starting 10.30am and 1pm.
