Here’s five stories that got the biggest reactions on Wyndham Star Weekly Facebook in 2015.

Nutella donuts have Daniel living the sweet life

Daniel Bartalotta is living the sweet life – and he owes it all to long hours, hard work and Nutella donuts.

Mr Bartalotta’s business, Daniel’s Bakery in Hoppers Crossing, has gained cult status for its Nutella donuts, with more than 16,000 likes on the bakery Facebook page and customers coming from all over Melbourne.

No guessing why this story went off.

Alex

Farewell to brave Alex

A six-year-old Wyndham Vale girl will was farewelled on September after losing a two-year battle with brain cancer.

Alexandra was diagnosed in late 2013 with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma – a rare and incurable tumour in the middle of the brain stem that affects only children.

Since her diagnosis, Alex’s family and friends had been on a mission to help her create as many happy memories as possible.

Santa gets sensory at Pacific Fair

The biggest reaction was saved for a story which appeared on page 10 of our final edition for the year.

Pacific Werribee has been giving the families of special-needs children a helping hand this Christmas by offering a ‘Sensory Santa’ photo experience, where kids can get their Santa snaps before the centre opens without having to encounter the usual hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping.
